Well it finished 2-0 to Millwall :(

A short little match report though. West Ham completely dominated the first half and Millwall looked scared and seemed to want to soak up the pressure and hit us on the break. The breaks were very few though and adequately dealt with by a solid West Ham defense. West Ham really should have got something out of the first half and were unlucky to go in at half time at 0-0.

Millwall scored early in the second half and this seemed to give them some confidence as the second half was easily contested. However West Ham seemed like a different team from the first half. The defense seemed to fall apart and was guilty of giving Millwall plenty of chances. One chance left a Millwall striker on an open goal from 5-6 yards out but somehow she managed to blast over the bar. A few minutes later MIllwall did add their second. West Ham pushed but seemed shy to shoot and ofter misread each other with their passes. Millwall wern't the cleanest of sides by far and were lucky that the ref had seemed to forget his cards. One incident saw the Millwall goal keeper kick a West Ham player as she was running off, another saw a Millwall girl go straight through the back of a West Ham player and another saw a Millwall girl stamp on the West Ham goal keeper.

West Ham players who stood out to me were Left back, Jess Barling and striker Dani Hoy who both put in a great effort.

Here are our photo's taken by MsAnnaRak. (sorry about the quality but they were on a mobile phone!)

Creating alot of chances in the first half, converting none and falling apart in the second half.

I'd guess there were about 100 there. It seemed to be all West Ham but when Millwall scored about 20 people jumped up cheering, a part from when they scored we never heard a peep out of them, funny that!

The first half was really good, they were a completely different team in the second though. It's like some of the girls couldn't be bothered, I know, it was hot, and they did look tired, but honestly I think some (not all) gave up the fight well before the final whistle blew.

Will be going to support them again for the Fulham game in a few weeks.
