Manhunt 2 (rejected again) is a pretty violent looking game, and theres lots of debate as to if violent games like this really do increase the amount of murders/violent crimes.

The debate rages on with films also, Saw/Hostle etc, giving people "ideas" for copycat killings.....now the Jamie Bulger case will spring to mind with IT (i think it was?) which was horrific to say the least, and very sad....but is society really decending into a place which breeds actions that we see in films/games?

Personally, I think films have more of an effect than games....ever tried headbutting a wall in the hope money will come out...whilst dressed as a small Italian man? I think films, as they are...real people, have more of an effect because its easier to mimic.....but I think the concupisense within society has always been there....but with the press and the internet now, it becomes much easier to see, and seems more apparent.

There is no doubting it happens more often now than it did, what does everyone else think?

Ban all violent games and films? Or is there another way to tackle the problem? Is there a problem at all?

if you want to see a violent game check out postal 2. that makes manhunt look like crash bandicoot.

I think, as these games are 18+, it isnt the games that are the problem but the people who play them and decide to mimic them...

Oh, that Postal 2 is quality! Personally, I don't see there is a problem. If someone kills because they reckon they were obsessed with a computer game it seems pretty obvious to me that they were fucked up already! I've spent many an evening on Postal 2 but I've pretty much been able to resist the temptation to kick peoples heads off and piss down their neck!
