Morning folks
Some of you will remember that this time last year I was about to set off on a bike ride from Newcastle United to West Ham United via the other Premiership Grounds in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK. After finishing that, counting up the money raised (£3000 - thanks to those who supported me) and having a well earned rest, I have decided to dust the bike down and hit the road again.
Between April 4th 2009 and April 18th 2009 I plan to cycle from Newcastle United's St James' Park to West Ham's Upton Park via the National Stadiums (Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff and Wembley). My aim is to raise at least £5000.
I have set up a fund raising page (www.justgiving.com/bobbymooretour2009) however at the moment I am not so keen to get people to sponsor me, we'll sort that out later on closer to the time.
What I am after is for support from individuals or businesses who will support me with the cost of doing such an event. The last bike ride cost me a fortune in accomodation, diesel for the support car, food, equipment etc. I was told by Cancer Research UK to use some of the sponsor money to cover costs, but that defeats the object.
If you can support me with this or know of an individual or company that would be willing to support me (and my support team) in setting up this event please let me know. I will be more than willing to mention those people who have supported us on websites and press releases etc.
Many thanks
Jamie |

Pete av ya tryed contacting westham direct ?
As im sure if they know what your doing again, they should be more then happy to help out, i mean moore is a legend as we all know, but might get them on t.v and you aswell mate. As right now i think westham could do with a bit of good news on the news if ya know what i mean, as to see hammers leaving the field before the derby game was over was kinda sad.
I,d have to agree with ya on your home page about the supporters, as a few years ago you would never see that happen, so not sure whats going on now, but prob like the myspace fansite they expect to much, and of course i have put a few in there place.....
All the best with this, and if there`s anything i can do give me a shout on my myspace, or feel free to sign up to my website..
