The 20 year old had previously been touted as a potential target for Lazio and Napoli in Italy but his agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito has confirmed that interest has been heard from the pair of London clubs.
Fornaroli’s compatriot Gustavo Poyet is currently assistant to Juande Ramos at White Hart Lane and may provide some influence on whether the striker joins or not.
On the other hand, Gianluca Nani will be added to West Ham’s administrative staff over the summer and may exert control over Fornaroli’s future.
The striker has appeared only a handful of times for his club Nacional but is already attracting attention from all over Europe. However, current lack of EU passport might yet hinder his chances of crossing the Atlantic.
Vincenzo D’Ippolito told sky sports.com: "In Italy for the moment there is Napoli and Lazio, abroad, from what I know there is Tottenham.
In England recently there is also West Ham that have showed their interest, Gianluca Nani, who will soon be working for them, asked me about information on him.
A lot will depend on the passport which he is waiting for, especially if he wants to go to England."
